These resources are provided to support educators with the mathematics component of the EQAO Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary and Junior Divisions, and the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics.

Sample and Practice Tests

All of the sample and practice tests for this school year are now available.
Students can become familiar with the digital assessments and their platform through EQAO’s sample and practice tests.

Administration User Guides

The updated user guides for all assessments are now available. These online user guides provide direction and information to school administrators, teachers and IT professionals.

Frameworks

The updated framework documents for all assessments are now available. The framework provides a detailed description of the assessment, including how the assessment is mapped to the Ontario language and mathematics curricula.

Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT)

Fall 2023

  • Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. ET, to Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. ET, with individual student results reported on or by the end of January 2024.

Spring 2024

  • Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. ET, to Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. ET, with individual student results reported on or by the end of May 2024.

Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics

Winter 2024

  • Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. ET, to Friday, February 2, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. ET, with individual student results reported after each student has completed the assessment.

Spring 2024

  • Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. ET, to Wednesday June 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. ET, with individual student results reported after each student has completed the assessment.

Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary- and Junior-Division

  • Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. ET, to Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. ET, with individual student results reported by the end of September 2024.
